If you saw our ad in Human Events, thank you for making it this far. There are several reasons for my running an ad in a national publication like Human Events, when I'm running for a county wide race in Houston, Texas.
Since you are a Human Events reader, you are a fellow conservative. We very likely agree with many of the timeless principles that define our cause. We likely agree on many of the beliefs and principles that President Reagan held and practiced.
I am running for Chairman of the Harris County Republican Party. I made the runoff from a four-person field in the March 2nd Republican Primary and I will be the top name on the ballot for Republican Party Chairman in the April 13th runoff election.
So let me tell you more about why I ran the ad in Human Events. I wrote this blog post last year detailing why people outside of the Houston region should care about this race, and my election. The blog post also gives a better understanding of Houston, Harris County and the magnitude of what we're really dealing with here.
Recently you may have heard Sean Hannity or Laura Ingraham on their radio shows talking about a speech Governor Reagan gave in 1977 calling for a New Republican Party. Hannity and Ingraham have talked about the speech in 1977 at CPAC, but a few weeks earlier, Governor Reagan gave a similar speech to the conference of ISI. I have been promoting this speech since last July, here you can find the full speech, excerpts from the speech and a blog post I did about the speech with relation to my vision now.
